Tom here – I can scarcely believe I’m writing this message so soon into our crowdfunding campaign, but I’m delighted to announce that we’ve already surpassed our goal of raising £30,000 for a deposit on our Castle Meadow premises!

Thank you so much for all of your support.

We’ve now set a new stretch target of £50,000.

These additional funds will go towards helping with the refurbishment of the building to enhance our community hub and the overall visitor experience. We’ll also look to restore parts of the old Ponds Shoe Fitters shop floor to create a more immersive experience and bring the building’s history to life.

This will help to attract new and returning customers and in turn create profits to support our varied community activities.

We’re beyond grateful for all the support and contributions we’ve had. Our match funding from the Aviva Community Fund and the Cost of Living Resilience Fund, which sees a £10 contribution multiply to £50, is still live.

Thank you from the whole Shoebox Team!

Tom
