Hire a space: the perfect setting for meetings, workshops, interviews and more

We’re really lucky to be situated in a grade II listed building, not only getting the benefits of its character and historic charm but also its ample space. In fact, if you’ve ever only seen us from the outside, you may not quite realise how much of a tardis our building is, or how mediaeval! We’re actually sitting on some very old and hidden parts of the city only accessible via our tours.

Before you ask (because we know you want to), it’s a bit too spooky and cold to have a meeting down there!

Our meeting room and event space are flexible and can meet a range of needs:

Bright and lofty meeting room

On our top floor, we have a beautiful and airy meeting room, sitting beneath the majesty of Norwich Castle. Perfect for board meetings, interviews, or small groups of 10 or 12 in a seminar-like setting.

Our meeting room is available to hire from Monday – Friday, 9:30AM – 5:30PM. All rooms for hire have WiFi available with a fast (and free) connection.

Community Hub Space

Located on the ground floor, our versatile community hub space is available for hire. While its availability is limited due to regular use by our community groups and activities, this larger area is perfect for hosting informal meetings, workshops, or your own events and activities.

 

Facilities include:

  • Tea and coffee-making facilities
  • Access to a shared kitchen (available for an additional charge)
  • A recently refurbished ground-floor toilet

 

Plus, you can book this space outside of our regular office hours, offering flexibility to suit your needs.

We’re sorry, we’re a little bit wonky…

Unfortunately, our wonky Grade II listed building is not fully wheelchair accessible, and we do not have a lift to our top floor meeting room. Our Community Hub Space is partially wheelchair accessible but access is restricted to users of small wheelchairs who are able to use our ramp. If you have any questions about our spaces and how accessible they are, please get in touch. We’re happy to provide photos or videos of the stairs and discuss how we can assist.

Let’s talk about corporate affairs. How about getting your staff involved with a Shoebox Experience? Offer them the best team bonding experience by visiting the other side of our enterprise, where you can book onto our hidden and historical city tours.

Our French group uses the top floor meeting room for our weekly meetings. The room is perfect for us. The Shoebox is centrally located so suits everyone coming into the city from different parts of the county. It is excellent value for money and the staff are very helpful.
